Download Workshare Compare for Windows to compare differences in Word documents and PDF files and streamline your document review process. On your macOS device, open Amazon WorkSpaces Client Downloads and choose the MacOS X link. Download and install the application. Verify that the Amazon WorkSpaces client application icon appears on the desktop. I'm going to continue on with Workshare Compare from Tuesday's post. As I had noted, Workshare Compare is a powerful comparison tool. This time, I want to show you it's PDF comparison functions. Many times, you'll receive PDF documents instead of Word documents from clients, vendors, etc. Instead of having to convert the PDF's to run comparisons or trying to visually compare the documents, you can use Workshare Compare to run the comparison on the PDF documents. Below are the step-by-step instructions for comparing PDF documents using Workshare Compare.

1. Open Workshare Compare.
2. The Workshare Compare program and dialog box will open.
   
3. Click the Folderbutton to the right of the Original Document box to browse out to the location of the original document.
4. Double-click the desired file to add it as the original document.
5. Click the Folderbutton to the right of the Modified Document box to browse out to the location of the modified document.
6. Double-click the desired file to add it as the modified document.
7. Choose your Rendering Set from the options available from the drop down arrow. NOTE: Workshare Compare uses colors and different formats in the Redline to enable you to see the changes that have been made to the documents. These colors and formats depend upon the rendering set you apply to the comparison.
8. Or, click the Rendering Set button to the right of the options to customize the settings. The Rendering Set dialog box will open. Set the Comparison options as necessary.
9. Set the Comparison Mode.
   1. Standard– Regular comparison.
   2. Text Only – Compares only the text within the document, not the formatting or styles.
   3. Compare without OCR – Compare without running OCR. NOTE: If you compare scanned PDF files without applying OCR, it may result in a blank Redline.
10. Click OKto run the comparison,
11. The Change Summary Tab will open.

A Change Summary Window – Lists the changes noted between the original and modified documents.

EApply Accepted Changes button – Click to accept the listed changes that were checked above.

1. The last page of the Redlined document is a summary page. It list the input information, legend and statistics.

1. Print– Comparison, Comparison + Modified or Comparison + Modified + Original.
2. Save As – Comparison document or Word document with Track Changes.
3. Email– Email as a PDF or Email as a Word document with Track Changes.
4. Word – Convert to Word as an RTF document for editing.
